The speakers, when plugged in alone do recognise as "speakers".

It doesn't help, if in the realtek's pop-up window, I choose that I connected a headphone. If the headphone is plugged in either the front or rear audio jacks, while the speakers are unplugged, it works perfectly, but it is always recognised as "speaker" even in the front jack, which is supposed to be for headphones. I think its worth to mention that I have the ASUS style Realtek manager, and even if I download the driver from the Microsoft Update Catalogue, it always ends up as the ASUS style version. The only change is, that in the Realtek HD Audio Manager I can see the front green jack's symbol being shown as active. Regadless whether the application recognizes it as plugged in or not at a given time, sound do actually always play in both speakers and headphones, and in neither state are they recognized as different devices by the OS. Also, if both are connected, in random intervals (can range from seconds to tens of minutes) I get messages from Realtek HD Audio Manager that in the front audio jack something(obviously the headphone, which is in reality plugged in the whole time) was plugged in/unplugged. However, sound does come out of both simultaneously. But, instead of recognizing the speakers and the headphones as 2 separate playback devices, it only shows one device, labelled as "speakers". its always the right never both or never the left.Currently, on my PC, I have my speakers plugged into the back(green) jack port, and my headphones into the front(green) jack port. Ive also heard that it could blow your onboard sound having headphones plugged in(ontop of case extra sound outlet) and speakers plugged in at same time but since its so damn annoying to unplug and plug in my speakers i just leve them i left them unplugged for a long tiem and still ended up with my right ear on headphone going out.

im really starting to think that there is some other problem going on here and maybe one you great gurus might be able to point me in the right direction. i game all the time and listen to alot music and movies and again i like my volume loud. yes i keep my volume up pretty loud all the time but i have bought some quality headphones before that should handle all the loud noises. ive gone threw at least 6 pairs in probably 6-7 months and im very frustrated. i have surround sound 5.1 speakers also but late at night or when people over i use heaphones plus you can game better with a great set of heaphones. Mmkay well i have realtek ac'97 as you can see in my specs and i always have this problem with my right headphone stop working on EVERY single pair of headphones i buy.
